Northeast Council of PTAs
The Dallas ISD Northeast Council of PTAs assists PTAs in the feeder-patterns of Bryan Adams, Emmett J. Conrad, Skyline and Woodrow Wilson.
Who is part of the Council PTA?
Local PTAs are represented by the Local PTA presidents, principals, and delegates at the Council PTA meetings. The voting body also includes the officers and standing committee chairs of the Council PTA and the superintendent of the school district or his representative.
What is the purpose of a Council PTA?
A Council PTA:

Unifies and strengthens the Local PTAs

Provides for the conference and cooperation of the Local PTAs/PTSAs in order to create public opinion favorable to the interests of child welfare; encourages child welfare projects in the various Local PTAs; and assists in the formation of new PTAs

Promotes the interests of National and Texas PTAs without duplicating the work of Area or Local PTAs

PTA Purposes

To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship;

To raise the standards of home life;

To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;

To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth;

To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

It is the mission of the Dallas ISD Northeast Council of PTAs to provide guidelines for building a successful and meaningful PTA on every campus.

Broaden community awareness of the iniativies, services and programs supported by the Dallas ISD Northeast Coucil of PTAs.

It is our hope that we will serve as a relevant resource for both existing and developing PTAs, with a focus on providing support and information concerning resources, advocacy, community, membership, partnerships, programming and fundraising.
All items that this council recognizes as essential elements of a strong functioning PTA.
